Description

Note:
This order comes with 3 Sensors (3 Sensors per order) but
the specs below is for one of the Sensors.
Note:
Looking
at the black head of the Hall Effect Sensor, the side that has a writing of
A
is the top face and the other side is the bottom face.
Place the Hall Effect Sensor so that
the bottom face is against the table and top face is the face that you can see.
Looking down at the top face with the pins facing towards you. The first pin is
the Positive (+), the second pin is the Ground (-) and the third pin is the
Output.
When
there is no magnetic field present, the output voltage is half the supply
voltage.
When
a South pole is present, the output voltage is greater than “half the supply
voltage”. The stronger the magnetic field (south pole), the higher the output
voltage.
When
a North pole is present, the output voltage is less than “half the supply
voltage”. The stronger the magnetic field (North Field), the lower the output
voltage.
Note:
1) Do not exceed the
limits of the sensor especially the output current limit. Use a resistor or
other components when needed.
2) For applications
requiring a higher output current greater than the maximum output current rating,
use an amplifier such as a transistor or to carry that amount of current.
3) For DC Motor applications, remember to use a diode to drain the spike
voltage that occurs when the current is automatically turned off.
Basic Specs:
Supply Voltage minimum:
4.5V
Supply Voltage maximum:
8V
Supply Current max:
11 mA
Output Current max:
10 mA
Operating Temp:
-40 to 185F
Maximum Junction Temp:
329F
Storage Temp:
-85F to 338F
Magnetic Sensitivity:
2.5mV/G
Quiescent Output Voltage:
2.5V (at 5V, 77F ambient)
Note:
Quiescent Output Voltage refers to the output voltage where there is no magnetic field present. B = OG.
